Stephanie was just so much fun to hang out with! She just had such a great spirit and was ready to just go at 100%…which I love! On a side note, there are just a few spots left in September and October, so please shoot me an email if you would like me to hold one of them for you!here are a few that caught my eye……

This is exactly what I am looking for when I go into a shoot. Enthusiasm, a great spirit, and a willingness to try anything! Chelsea was all of these things and more. My post is a little different today…a snapshot of how what you have inside SO comes across in the camera! These images were all shot in about 60 seconds time, though you can see all different emotions portrayed, they all come across as real..and definitely Chelsea….Is it me or does her spirit remind you a little of my favorite girl from Glee….another thing we both love…when you come to shoot with me, make your 60 seconds count!

and this is what we did 3 minutes earlier…..
The day I photographed Lilly was simply amazing! After all the crazy heat we have had, the evening was cool, the clouds were out, the light was beautiful…everything just came together. Lilly was so sweet…and adorable I might add, so it just made my job effortless! And can I even start to talk about the location..a photographers dream…as well as a place that is very special to Lilly and her family…what a pleasure it was……

Even more proof that I LOVE to shoot boys too! Christian was so fantastic, since he spent so much time at the river growing up, what a great location to shoot his senior pictures! The light was so amazing that night, we tried to forget the fact that it was so blazing hot a little warm that night. Even though he thought I should re-brand my logo suggested that happygirlphotography could imply that it was only for girls…let’s face it, when he looks this good does it really matter if he was shot by “I love rainbow’s and butterfly’s photography”…………

Color or Black and White….I just can’t decide…which one do you like more?

It was hot…it was so hot…and I mean Africa hot…but Elizabeth could have not have been more sweet and gracious through the entire shoot. Her gorgeous blue eyes were just popping through my lens and I knew even then that we would have some amazing images….did I mention it was hot….here are a few that caught my eye…..

I get asked this question all the time…..”Do you shoot senior boys or do you only shoot girls”………..and my answer is a very loud YES, we love to shoot senior boys! Look, you want to look amazing in your senior pictures whether you are a girl or a boy….ok, let me say that again….if you are a girl you want to look amazing, if you are a boy…you want to look pretty good and want your Mom to stop talking about how her baby is all grown up and can you do this one last thing for her because she was in labor for 16 hours and she does not ask that much of you and it would mean so much and…….well, you see where I am going with this. I try to make it as painless as possible for you senior boys…..we pick our locations, we go, we shoot, we leave…done! I promise! Joey was so relaxed and easy going, it was a breeze to shoot him……

Another fun, fun, fun shoot with the lovely Emma! I am always on the lookout for new locations, and Emma was up for the challenge when we found this amazing barn to shoot part of our session. Now I would love to share our new location with all of you, but since it may or may not have been private property we were trespassing on, and we may or may not have asked permission to shoot on said property, and we may or not have been breaking some law, all I can say is….I have no comment on the whole barn situation! Now, all together, let’s say the words that all my clients know to be the reason that I can constantly keep my vision on photoshoots fresh and current….SHOOT FIRST..APOLOGIZE AFTER…. it just makes my job so much easier…..

Now everyone don’t get too excited, Zack Arias is an AMAZING photographer I did a workshop with this week. Here is his amazing site www.zackarias.com If you are photographer and want to work on your off-camera lighting…I can’t say enough great things about this workshop!!!
All these images were taken with just one light off-camera….so amazing what a little light can do….and these have absolutely NO EDITING…this is straight out of the camera….and probably the first and last time you will see images straight out of the camera on this site…and I am sure on any photographers site! I can’t wait to try this out on some of my high school seniors

What a great time I had shooting Jordan. The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining, the birds were singing…ok, a little exaggeration on the birds, but the rest is so true! She was a dream to work with, so laid back through the entire process, even when we found out the gate to the park we wanted to explore really does stop opening at 8:00pm, not 8:01 or 8:02, but 8:00! We just grabbed our clothes and lens’s and walked the rest of the way, we were going to get that shot no matter what!
Here are a few of my favorites so far…..

This adorable family could not have been more sweet! The evening was a little warm…and sticky…did I mention it was warm…..Everyone just went with the flow (which I love in a family) and we just followed Owen’s lead, since after a few minutes we all realized he was driving this train…and when you look like that with those big blue eye’s…I would expect nothing less!
Here are a few things I learned while spending time with my new friend Owen…….
Owen likes to giggle……
Owen loves his Mama…..
and his Daddy………

and knows exactly how to position himself in a family photo……LOVE IT!
